Kids Quest Online

At Gateway Church we promote kids and students to their new classes typically the weekend before school starts. On Sunday, August 22nd, kids and students going into 1st grade and higher will upgrade (Kids in our early childhood program promote based on their age, not once a year like the older kids). So, mark your calendar for UPGRADE. In the coming weeks will be more details about preview services, maps an other things you need to know.

At this moment, Summer Camp for 3rd-5th graders is in full swing! Tomorrow is our last day of camp, but you can peek in on all the action that’s been happening this week. Check out the Kids Quest Facbook page here! We’ve posted pictures, videos and all kinds of content about what’s been happening this week. If you have kids who are too young this year, take a peek at what they’ll get to experience when they’re older.

Woo hoo! I’m ready for a nap.

A few weeks ago we kicked off the summer by baptizing dozens of kids who have come to faith at the North Campus. What a great thing to experience. Already, we have scheduled our next Baptism for July 25th after the 5:00 PM Deepen service. If you have a child who is ready for baptism or has been asking questions about baptism, maybe this is the time. We’d love to help you process this big decision.

If you feel that you need more answers or you want to prepare for baptism, we’re offering three separate baptism classes for kids and parents to attend. We highly recommend all kids (and their parents) attend a class before getting baptized. Dates for our next classes are as follows:

• June 20th @ 11:00 AM
• June 27th @ 11:00 AM
• July 18th @ 5:00 PM

The South Campus is currently recruiting check-in volunteers for Kids Quest. What does a check-in volunteer do? Well, you probably interact with one every weekend when coming to Gateway. They check volunteers and children in with our computer software and print out name tags and parent receipts. Other check-in volunteers greet families when they arrive and are waiting to be checked in while others register first time guests and show them where their kids go.

Serving as a check-in volunteer is easy and fun! We have a great community of check-in volunteers who have a lot of fun working together each week. Check in volunteers arrive early so they can begin checking in kids and volunteers 30 minutes before the service begins, but they’re usually finished 10 to 15 minutes after each service begins, so serving as a check-in volunteer is one of the most convenient volunteer roles.
