Kids Quest Online

Back in September I wrote this post where I talked a little about the Elementary program here at Gateway. Since the day I got here eight and a half months ago (wow, has it been that long already) I began the search for our next Elementary Director. I said that it was slow going as I was really holding out for just the right person. I wasn’t kidding about it being slow going. However, God is very good and he has provided!

On Monday I hired Cathy Harwick as our new Elementary Director. She comes to us from Corpus Christi and will begin on Sunday, February 1st. Early on in this process I had decided that I wanted to bring in someone at the top of their field, someone with loads of experience. Initially I was a little discouraged by the lack of options. However, I am thrilled to announce that Cathy has more than enough experience, even at leading an entire chidlren’s ministry significantly larger that Kids Quest. When it comes to Children’s Ministry, she’s one of the top in the nation (this is not an exaggeration). Wow! Good things are ahead for Kids Quest. The future is so bright I can hardly see!
