Hey moms and dads. Here’s a little activity you can do with your kids. Watch the following video and talk about it with your kids. Below are some questions you can ask.

Take a few minutes to read the actual Christmas story. It can be found in both Matthew and Luke, each telling different parts of the story.

Matthew 1:18-2:15

Luke 2:1-20

  • What were the major differences from what you thought the Christmas story was about from what the Bible tells about what happened?
  • How can we follow the example of the shepherds this Christmas in celebrating the birth of Jesus?
  • How can we follow the example of the Magi this Christmas in celebrating the birth of Jesus?

Prayer:

Dear God. Thank you for the gift you gave us in your son 2000 years ago. Although we sometimes get a little mixed up in what exactly happened and how it happened, help us to remember the most important thing this Christmas season: Jesus Christ. You sent your son to be born as a baby who would later give his life so that we could know you. With all our hearts we thank you. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
