Last week I wrote about the changes. Most kids will be affected this Sunday. Many will promote to new rooms, others will just see changes to their check-in name tags. However, we want you to be prepared. Take five minutes and read to find out what is changing.
Last week’s post gives a good overview. If you did not read it yet, click here.
Okay, so let me give you the room by room breakdown by age. If you can’t remember what room your child has been in, click here to read my post on January 7th to see what they’ve been for most of January. Starting this Sunday the ranges are as follows:
Kids Quest Babies: Birth through one year olds (located in the 1st floor of the Kids Quest Building)
- Cozy Corner: 0-8 Months
- Heavenly Haven: 9-14 Months
- Bubble Babies: 15-23 Months
- Grasshopper Grove: 15-23 Months
Kids Quest Juniors: Two year olds through early threes (located in the 1st floor of the Kids Quest Building)
- Tumbleweed Trail: 24-31 Months
- Little Lagoon: 24-31 Months
- Kid’s Kingdom: 32-47 Months
- Asteroid Alley: 32-47 Months
Kids Quest Backyard: Older Threes through Kindergarten (located behind the Kids Quest Building)
- Beach Boulevard: 48-59 Months
- Amazon Avenue: 48-59 Months
- Treehouse Trail: 60 months (5 years) through Kindergarten
- City Circle: 60 months (5 years) through Kindergarten
Take Notice:
If you have a child 44-47 months who have already attended Beach Boulevard or Amazon Avenue, it is likely that they’ll automatically check back into the room they were in last time. We wanted to avoid moving these kids back into the building if they’ve already been to The Backyard.
Don’t forget that all elementary kids will now be checking into a grade by gender. Our computer system guesses what grade they should be in based on their age, but it isn’t able to make guesses based on gender as well. So, check-in volunteers will probably be double checking that your child is checked into the right grade/gender group.
Last but not least. Getting ready for this Sunday was a huge undertaking. It will all be tested thoroughly tomorrow. However, there is a chance an assignment did not get transferred over to the new set-up. Please be patient if there is a mistake. We’ll do the best we can to fix it as soon as possible. Also, if there are any hang-ups, it likely won’t be our check-in volunteers fault. I take responsibility for any glitches and I and my team will get them resolved as quickly as possible.
