Wow, is there something going around or what? Now that school is back in session, we’re seeing a huge increase in child illness. Kids Quest is a safe place for kids. However, we really would like for it to be a healthy place too.
Our well child policy states that children must be free of the following symptoms for at lest 24 hours before coming to Kids Quest:
- Any degree of fever
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Unexplained or contagious skin rash
- Bleeding/wet diaper rash
- Chronic cough
- Runny nose (yellow/green discharge)
- Eye/ Ear infections
- Pink Eye
- Parasites (nits, lice, mites, ring worm, etc.)
However, we would like to amend our well child policy. Erring on the side of caution could help prevent the spread of sickness. If any member of the child’s family has been sick the week leading up to Sunday, we highly recommend taking a week off from Kids Quest. Too many kids are coming to church and school contagious and they don’t even know they are sick yet.
Thanks for helping us create a safe and healthy environment at Kids Quest!
