ELEMENTARY SMALL GROUP LEADER
An adult or high school student who acts as a guide to the children and families of Gateway. A small group leader becomes the primary model, or teacher for a group of children and encourages spiritual growth through relationships, discussion and other small group activities. We find that relationships are best built with consistent small group leaders in the context of small groups.ELEMENTARY PRODUCTION (PROGRAMMING/DRAMA/WORSHIP)
Creates an exciting atmosphere by actively leading the Large Group Portion of service including Hosting, Worship, and Drama Skits. Participates as assigned in pre-teach/teach/post-teach portions of the curriculum. Review cues with the MVP Tech and makes sure all props are ready for use. Be available for TEAM practice and leads the transitions to small groups. You are the “on stage” person and love being the ham!ELEMENTARY MVP (MUSIC/VIDEO/PRODUCTION) TECHNICIAN
Provides for all aspects of media for the program. Media may include music, video, lighting, video, computer, PowerPoint and drama. The goal of the MVP Tech is to make the service fun and fast paced for the children. The MVP Tech also prepares the service area equipment and mics up the Elementary Production Team.
Early Childhood Serving Opportunities
EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVING TEAM LEADERS
The Early Childhood Serving Team Leaders are a team (generally consisting of two-three people) who work with Small Group Classroom Leader to coordinate the service, managing classrooms, coordinate lessons/curriculum and help address issues that arise during services. This role creates smooth transitions for families each service between the check-in stations and classrooms. As well as managing, by leading a serving team you will also be spiritual developing and guiding the volunteers within an assigned age group/service. Again, this role is a team of people who are either assigned to work with you or can possibly be people you know.EARLY CHILDHOOD SMALL GROUP CLASSROOM LEADER
The Early Childhood Small Group Classroom Leader manages the classroom tasks, keeping volunteers and kids on schedule. These tasks include leading weekly lesson activities, checking families into the classrooms and providing direction for new caregivers.EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM CAREGIVER
The Early Childhood Classroom Caregiver assists the Small Group Classroom Leader in caring for the children in the classroom and managing the classroom tasks such as preparing snacks, taking in diaper bags, changing diapers, setting up for coloring and cleaning up toys.EARLY CHILDHOOD PUPPETEER
The Early Childhood Puppeteers guide children through service sing-a-long productions. They are familiar with the songs and learn the art of puppetry through practice using the puppets. These volunteers arrive thirty minutes before the start to assist in stage area set up and they help with putting away props and puppets at the end of each service. Rehearsals and quarterly puppet production meetings are required.
